Some splendid photographs from today’s air display of WWI fighters to mark the 90th Anniversary of the war’s end have been posted onto my forum here:

I’ll make a comment Dave…………….. GREAT photos of a wonderful display.:)
I think many of us forget what’s going on in NZ. As an aussie I have always been impressed by the ammount of great restorations, builds and happennings in NZ by the fairly small community of vintage aircraft/warbird folk!
‘One day’ when I visit home (Melbourne) I’ll try for a trip to NZ (with the wife’s blessing);).
cheers and thanks for shareing,
-John

Yes they have the original Hispano engines and were built to exacting detail for accuracy. And blimey, seeing one last year was nice, but I cannot wait to see the three together. And hearing them for that matter, the one I saw at Omaka sounded amazing.

Sorry, Dave, I had a look earlier and totally forgot to comment! 😮
Fantastic stuff! Those S.E.5as are just stunning – original engines? As much as I like the little scaled-down S.E.s, those ones just make me drool!
