I’m going on holliday soon in Allhallows-on-Sea and would like to visit a few crash sites in or around Kent, where i could have a look around and maybe even a bit of metal detecting without trespassing or bothering anyone.
I’m not talking about digging big holes or anything, just scratching around with a trowel really.
Also, what places of aviation interest are there to visit in the area?
I’m always at air shows down south and Hendon, but thats about it. I’m trying to make a list of places to visit before i go on Holiday.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Keith.

The Protection of Military remains Act clearly states that:
A person contravenes this subsection in relation to any remains –
a) if he tampers with, damages, moves, removes or unearths the remains;
Which makes it perfectly clear that it is illegal to carry out such an activity without the granting of a License for such an activity.
I’d leave the trowel at home if I were you.
As to other sites of interest it’s an area of the Country that remains largely undiscovered to me but threads on here have revealed a few places I would definitely like to visit:
Battle of Britain Monument (Capel le Ferne)
Shoreham Museum.
Tangmere.
Hawkinge.
Dover.
