One of the many superb pieces produced by this artist is of a Wyvern skimming the waves with an aircraft carrier in the background, as seen on the cover of the June 2001 French aviation magazine “Le Fana de l’Aviation”. Needless to say i’d love to obtain a copy of this if possible but so far have been unable to contact the artist (website last updated in July), or find out if it was ever released as a print.
Has anyone seen this painting before or know anymore about it?

Another superb Wyvern print for anyone interested is “Up and over” by artist Randall Wilson, showing two aircraft going vertical over HMS Eagle.
Thank God for artists who are prepared to paint the less obvious aircraft types !

The artist Lucio Perinotto who created the original image mentioned by the OP is featured in the following site where you can see a picture of him at work. His handling of light is incredible which is a skill I admire (likewise the abilities of UK artist Keith Woodcock to create atmosphere).

Thanks Stu, yes i do have the magazine so i’ll try and get it scanned and let you know. Unfortunately the left wingtip is missing but its better than nothing.
Or I have an artist friend who will paint it to whatever size you like for a reasonable figure…
