What do people here think of this sim. Ive heard its very realistically done as far as aircraft controls go, but that their is very little documention to explain aircraft controls meaning only real pilots can use it.

I’ve used X-Plane for quite a while and I’m a big fan, the whole approach is quite different from the Microsoft sim though, it’s not quite as ‘pretty’ and it feels quite different to fly.
Like MSFS there is a lot of user created content (aircraft, scenery etc) which is of variable quality, some is very good though. I’m not aware of any real air combat add on though although weapons are simulated in avery basic fashion.
There’s a free demo online, give it a go and make your own mind up?

I haven’t Matt, but it does look good. If you get round to using it let us know what it’s like.

It’s OK.
Nothing to get excited about though.
Half an hour on any good sim with the difficulties set at a reasonably ‘realistic’ setting will give you enough ability to ‘fly’ x-plane without a manual.
Don’t let anybody fool you into thinking flying is hard. That’s a rumour put about by pilots to make them seem more heroic and attract more women (Or men, as the case may be)
