The museums supplement in the latest issue contains many errors and has to be the worst example of paste & click journalism i’ve seen in recent times.

In fact i’m certain they didn’t even refer to their own editors ‘Wrecks & Relics’, certainly not the current issue and probably not the one before either (and it’s only published once every two years….!!!!). Aside from the example above, Gnat XM692 hasn’t been at East Tilbury for nearly two years now.

.

Yes, the last warbirds supplement was equally dreadful – full of errors.

You’re quite right – there is another 2 seat Vampire on a low loader – its T22 XG743.

I thought i rmember seeing 2 Vampire T11’s at Duxford a few years back…… one was on display and the other was in a hanger but was just a pod on the back of a vintage low loader? May be wrong though:o

It was at Duxford for some years, but hasnt been there for about six years. Longer, in fact than it ever was at Duxford. Bloomin researchers!

It was at the DH Museum for five years, and is now up in Norfolk.

My avatar has a piccie of it in service.
