I thought I read somewhere that the Southend Vulcan will be doing a couple of fast taxi runs this weekend. Can’t seem to find any details now though. The VRT website has not been updated for some time.
Does anybody have any details about it, as I am down in that neck of the woods, any info on where the best place to view it from would also be appreciated.
Cheers
Joe

Thanks for the replys. Agreed about the website, needs to be updated.
Looks like I am going to head west to the Mosquito Museum instead!
Damien thanks for the link about Wellsbourne, I will probably fly in for that one if the weather is ok. Anybody else from here planning to go?

Good, I thought they’d given up on runs from what I’d heard! Their web site used to be great – think the current one is a big step back and could do with some serious updating.
Where did you hear that?

XL426 taxi runs for 2006 –

Damien
believe they’re not operating this weekend as Airport/show organiser couldn’t/wouldn’t pay for fuel for taxi-run…….
As August event is their own, they’ll be financing it themselves.
Got this from VRT stall at Duxford last weekend 😉

XL426 will not be active this weekend, though she will be available for static display.
VRT are holding their own Open Day and XL426-run on August 12th
