Called and took a look at XM603 this afternoon, She is still in one piece, but who knows for how long. Also we were parked on the golf club road where the end of the runway is. and as i was putting the camera away in the boot, a security van drove towards us on the airfield side of the fence, across the grass and right upto the fence. they stayed in the van but were obviousley keeping an eye on what i was upto, I have been there a few times now, and even taken pics of a new nimrod being towed about, but never had a security van/chap do this.

Can’t help but feel sad for her though…. look at the deflection on the control surface and the open panel at the trailing edge undersurface of the wing… Has she had her engines pulled yet?

I’m glad they put her nose cone back on though, even though she hasn’t got a great deal of time left… 🙁

Best answer would be to look on the XH558 thread and contact JBoyle”JJ” or Taff(Smiler) on there to get an answer to that.
