For those who don’t already know XS456 is currently under restoration at Skegness Airfield, Skegness Water Leisure Park. The external part of the restoration is all but complete, so work has started on the internal part of the restoration. So here’s a few images of how she currently stands along with a few recent visitors.

Update on our restoration work . . . Externally she is now 99% finished. Along with freeing up the rudder pedals, sticks and throttle boxes, the cockpit itself is now all but complete. Work is currently taking place on the ejection seats, which we hope to have completed this year . . .

The canopy is fully working and gets raised when we need to work in the cockpit, or someone is coming to photograph her etc etc.
As for internally she is pretty much complete, minus the engines.
