Does anybody know if there any yak flyins in the UK or europe this year.

Do not see any advertised anywhere and would be most grateful.

Thanks

With the CAA paper is everything!

A comprehensive NDT check of major structural items (wing attachment points, tail assembly, engine mounts, undercarriage attachment points) replacement of engine and aileron bolts, and in our case new wings, passed the permit renewal. But no paper, so not fit to fly.

So paper is strong enough to extend the life of an airframe then?

Our wonderful CAA have issued a MPD regarding the airframes. This means once the limit is reached you need permission from Yakovlev to continue to fly. We have carried out all the work required by Yak, applied for the extension last Oct, paid them $1000 this March, and we have yet to receive the necessary approval. Summers here and we are grounded. 😡
