Yak's movie question

Just finished watching the Gene Hackman movie “Target” on the beeb.
At the end there is a scene where Hackman’s wife is tied to a bomb in an old hangar in what is supposed to be East Germany.
In the background there are what appear to be at least 5 disassembled radial engined Yak’s (3’s ?) I dont think they were simply “set dressing” as the whole place looked more like a storage hangar rather than somthing put together for a movie set.
There was nothing in the credits to indicate where this was filmed so does anyone have any idea of the location or the fates of the airframes concerned ?

Thanks for the info, you could be right about them being Yak 11’s, i’m not too up on my Russian aircraft.

I’ve seen that movie. The aircraft were former Egyptian Yak-11’s, and I guess the scenes were shot at La Ferte Alais .

Yak-3’s & Yak-11’s

I have not seen the movie but “radial eng Yak-3’s” sounds like Yak-11’s.
