YAL-1 vs gen 4.5 , gen 5 fighter

if the YAL-1 program wasnot canceled and it still flying , can it act as an air dominance aircraft ?
the YAL-1 detect targets by 6 AAS-42 IRST sensors ( very long range ) => stealth will not be a big problems

it could destroy liquid-fueled ICBMs up to 600 km away. Tougher solid-fueled ICBM destruction range would likely be limited to 300 km

Plans called for each 747 to carry enough laser fuel for about 20 shots, or perhaps as many as 40 low-power shots against fragile TBMs

given that both fighter and air to air missiles are much more fragile than TBM , ICBM => using laser to intercept these thing should not be a problem right ? , and not to mention even the fastest , most agile aircraft can out run a laser beam 😀
with 40 shots then one YAL-1 may be able to intercept an entire squadron , at extremely long range
