Yay! Ba Say The Will Order An A380!!!!

From Reuters and televised on NBC’S Europe Closing bell.

BA ORDER THE A380
Europe’s largest airline and national carrier Birtish Airways are set to order the all-new, double-decked Airbus A380. Though the number of A380’s which the airline plans to buy are not being disclosed, Insiders close to the airline’s managment team say the orders will be “limited in accordance to market conditions at the present time as well as the crutial issue of passenger demand”. British Airways insisted on not commenting on the issue of the A380 untill the airlines next press confrence, sceduled to be aired live on Bloomberg Televsion next week.

Dunno why its taken BA so long honestly AF VS and LH already have ordered!

The original april fool was good A380 (had me fooled!), the rubbish you are now spouting is worthy of EAL340, Bahnhaus and Skylinerworld. Can we up the status to something a little more grown up?

But do BA need A380s?? I mean they wont buy just because AF, LH etc. did.

Sure they do, being based in a slot crowded airport like LHR. Slots could be better utilized using a couple a A380’s on high yield routes such as LHR-JFK, LHR-SYD, LHR-SIN, LHR-HKG, etc. Besides, BA couldn’t let all the other bigboys operate that behemoth without them doing so!

Yes i posted an article about a month ago, just goes to show you, airline executives are a bit like politicians, you just can’t believe anything they say

I think IF BA got the A380, it would be better placed on their NYC routes from LON to start with. That’s where the big bucks would come from to help pay for them!!

but from another point of view though, with BA and Qantas, and the codeshares, it would make sense if BA did decide to order a few for the Australia routes.

And also, BA can’t be the largest airline in Europe!?! I suppose it depends on how you define large. Doesnt Easyjet have more aircraft?

Eeasyjet may have a lot of planes with many more on order, but BA still has many more planes. Also, BA is not the largest airline in Europe. That honour goes to Air France, since it took over KLM it became the largest of Europe and even one of the largest in the world.
