Yet another new airline!

http://www.crystalairways.com/

Crystal Airways is a Tampa, Florida-based “new-entrant” airline dedicated to giving the Business Traveler the best overall value for their traveling dollar.

Saab – No, I don’t think they will get loads between Tampa and Europe.
There are a few business only flights around at the moment, but there on the business routes, Lufthansa and its DUS-EWR flight springs to mind, done well but with a 737, Crystal will be flying 767’s from Tampa!
Andrew – Fees etc will be cheaper at TPA and if your a low cost then this is very important, but this is a business class only airline and I think an increase in demand of business travel is far more important.
I just can’t see the demand at TPA for this kind of service.

Just a thought.

IMO no, there is no current viabrent market for that type of travel.

Dan330, that is an excellent point. Do you actually think a business airline will get the loads from Tampa to Europe on a 767?

Looks interesting and I’d love to see the colour scheme on an aircraft.

Still looks a bit fishy, all the different aircraft types and the other thing, based at Tampa Florida? Isn’t that a funny place for an airline like this, with the business travellers and that?
I could see a lot of demand at New York or LA, but Tampa seems a strange place for such a luxurious airline!

Though afer doing a search about it on Google it seems to be rather Kosher??? Take a look at the info on the link and decide for yourself…

http://www.consulttus.com/release.cfm?pressid=21

It must be a real airline, their website has made it onto the Skytrax website, now if it weren’t real a company like Skytrax, the company that does all the airline awards etc, they wouldn’t stick it up on their site surely.

After reading a piece of info on the net about Crystal Airways, apparently it has been around for the last few years trying to get of the ground, but it has not been given approval!

Yeah me too. They are to use a mixed fleet of Boeing aircraft… the next Gen 737, 757-200 and the 767-300. And on regional routes, the CRJ200.

Looks to be a promising airline. All the best to them. 🙂

The wish to start intercontinental routes once they are up and running, I hope the will Operate flights into London. 😀
