Yet another Ryanair day out!

I’ve gone a bit mad over the last few days and I’ve just gone and booked myself yet another day out with Ryanair, this time just purely to see some airports!

I’ll be leaving from Bournemouth at 11:05 to Girona, I then fly out of Girnoa at 17:45 for Prestwick before catching at flight at 21:40 to Stansted!

Could anyone tell me what aircraft types I’ll be on for these flights? Amazingly the whole day of flights has cost me just £33!!! Well, at least Ryanair are good for something!

I also flew into Gerona in 1999 but on a Britannia A320 (the only they ever had they had it for a summer EI-TLO) from LBA.
The airport was dead when I was there we were the only flight for hours but it was very nice and compact. The best thing was they had an outside terrace and tables and chairs where you could get views over the apron.

I flew into Girona in 1999 on a Britannia 767-200. Only about 80 minutes flight and the airport was quite nice, although quiet. I don’t know how it would be 4 years later though!

Thanks for the tip guys, I’ll definatley have a look round while I’m there. It’s actually my first visit to Spain so I’ll be very interested to see what it has to offer.

At least you should have a walk along the medieval old jewish quarter, the colourfull fassades at the river and the “ramblas” with the old two behind it. Don´t miss Besalu some kms away from Gerona, as the prefect setting for many medieval films. With one of the most wonderful bridges in the world. Gerona Airport is indeed uninteresting.

I spent a couple of nights in Gerona a few years ago. Very beautiful town and I recall the river being full of some very strange looking fish. It’s about 15 mins from the airport by taxi. Worth a look.

I think you might find yourself on 732’s all the way Martin. As Ren said you only usually get 732’s at Prestwick and then I think they also operate 732’s from Bournemouth, although I could be wrong.

I’ve only ever seen Ryanair 732’s at PIK, don’t know about your other routes though.
