RE: Yet another Spitfire yawn!
G-FIRE: I’m not a fan of warbirds in civvie schemes, but this was absolutely stunning.
I’ve got an air to air of G-FURY I will post on the site when I can get a decent scanner. Mr Flack was kind enough to send it to me after I complimented him by post on a G-FURY display at Shoreham around ’80-’81. The day was really doggers with low cloudbase and drizzle but the display with the twinkling strobe lights was fantastic – vortices streaming from the wing-tips.
Thanks Spencer Flack – another OHB…

RE: Yet another Spitfire yawn!
Indeed, terrible shame about Spencer. His Spitfire and Hunter live on with owners ‘across the pond’.

Yeah I get kind of irritated when nobody looks at my posts – or so I think! What puzzled me was he went to the trouble of putting flashing cannons on the airframe, yet in a civil paint scheme!

Got any of G-FURY or G-HUNT?
Never got to see either of these.

Yes, I saw it when you first posted it. The list doesn’t get updated till someone adds a new post.
Good piccie, though.
