First aid air steward suspended
A cabin crew member has been suspended amid claims that he lost his temper with a colleague while giving first aid to a holidaymaker from Paisley.
The passenger fell down the aircraft steps and landed head first on the runway at Tenerife Airport on Friday.
The 40-year-old, who had arrived on a flight from Glasgow, is expected to be released from hospital on Monday.
Tempers are said to have flared as two air stewards used blankets to stem the heavy bleeding from his skull.
It is understood that a male member of the cabin crew has been accused of shouting at his female colleague.
Crew members
Thomas Cook Airlines, which operated the flight, confirmed that a male air steward had been suspended after a complaint of misconduct.
The Boeing 757-200 had seven crew members and 234 passengers on board.
The injured man was taken to Costa Ager hospital for treatment.
It is understood that he slipped and then jumped about 10ft to avoid hurting other passengers in front of him

Most gays have bad tempers
Seems it’s not just the press who assume things – it happens right here on the forum too. Rather unfair to the steward in question, be he gay or not.

Well, if he jumped to avoid the passengers then the steps would have still been there as the passengers would be on them.

Sounds similar to an incident involving a TCX stewardess at Corfu Airport quite recently.
