Phil,
You certainley won’t be going there again. 🙁
I was lucky in going to the El Toro airshow in 1997, which must have been one of the last there if it closed in 1999.

Could I suggest that the Ju87 is a model. 🙂
It has been a fair time since I have been there but could this be the Spitfire SL574 at San Diego? It had a Me 109 hanging over it last time I saw it.
Phil, could it have been taken at the same time you photographed at El Toro.
Mark
Right on the nose on both count’s Mark. 😀
A few more from San Diego aero-space museum Sept 1988.

Is that the WofGB P-38 next the the Mossie in that photo Benyboy posted… 😮
It does look like Biggin Hill, did it ever display…???Only, I dont recall the TFC machine ever being in markings like that….
Yes, it is the WofGB P-38 N505MH. It did arrive at Biggin Hill in mid-May thay year. I am not sure if it flew at Biggin Hill, but was definately static. It did display at a French air show that year (Falaise?), but that is about it. It returned to the US the next year.
