Your fav place in the world?

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 30-07-02 AT 08:00 PM (GMT)]Where is your fav place in the world?

Mine is Cyprus. I like the everything about the island, the beaches, the scenery, the architecture and the history.

Been there a few times, twice to Paphos and once to Famagusta.

The picture below shows Paphos seafront and Paphos castle/fort.

Not a chance – those creatures are evil and lethal!

My old man did though. Fool! I just bought a dead stuffed baby one for my mantle piece.

Yes, the train is one of the must-do activities. There is a nearby town called Outsdhoorn (Afrikaner name) which has an Ostritch farm – you can go on a tour and you get to ride in an Ostirtch race at the end. Good wholesome stuff, whole holiday probably cost the same as a fortnight in Ibiza.

The steam train carries passengers to the nearby town of George, past some of the most stunning beaches in the world, such as Wilderness. It also carries the town’s rubbish away!

“That place look really nice Mongu… how long did you stay there?
Regards

Andrew”

About 10 days. It is roughly a 7 hour drive from Cape Town, about 8 hours to Port Elizabeth. Nearest airport is George – 45 mins on a J41 from CPT, about 2 hours to JNB on a CRJ or 737-800. Absolute paradise. My parents decided to buy a home there to retire to! Given the value of the Rand, they can afford to buy a Palace, too.

Gee this conversation is getting long!!
No,i’ve never been to Calais because its not where we normally get the ferry to.Its usually St.Malo.
I’ve never been to Majorca, however,i’m off to Menorca, which I believe is the quieter of the Balearics’.

RE: Your fav place in the world?

I’ve been to Majorca a few times as well, To Cala Millor and Palma Nova. Cala Millor was the best of the two for me, lovely beach and great shops and sea front bars and restaurants.

I went there in 1997, with my mum and dad. Stayed at the Atalaya Apartements. Good, clean hotel block… 3 swimming pools… VERY NICE. :7

I went to Palma Nova in 2000, again with my mum and dad. Stayed at the Mimosa Park hotel. Nice hotel but quite a way from anywhere. 🙁

Saab have you been to Majorca at all? If so I would lik to here about it.

Thanx.

Pictures below are of Cala Millor beach and Palma nova Beach, but there not all the good, sorry.

The first is of Cala millor and the second is Palma Nova.

RE: Your fav place in the world?

Yes I did go to La Rambla as this is where many of the main tourist attractions are.The popular church, that is still being built, that you are thinking of is La Sagrada, the Cathedral I think is La Seu.
My favourite place in France is a small town called Cancale in Bretagne.(though there are many other beautiful towns)Great fruit de mer and beautiful views. Where exactly is St.Omer because i’ve never heard of there!
