I’m really p’d off that my youngest has seen Nightwish live twice and I never got to see them at all. Oh well, c’est la vie I suppose. Guess what folks? that exhausted my knowledge of French 😀

Sorry SOC (this is me showing my age) Megadeath are a spent force. 1st saw them in ’86 and they are not a patch on what they used to be.
Whats your best and worst gig?

well Holopainen& co. are still looking for new (female) lead singer,…who knows perhaps they migth produce a hit and gain popularity over listeners not familar to their music otherwise…well it would mean big audience in UK or US…in here (where last two albums spend weeks in number one), their tale is over
but doing that, would require switch to more listener favorable direction, and that would mean more popish tunes, and less metal 🙁

It was time for Tarja to leave. She didn’t get on with the rest of the band and became a right b**ch ever since she married Marcelo who is also her manager, always wanting more money for doing gigs etc. Unfortunate because Nightwish were a unique band with her excellent voice plus the metal quality. I still listen to them and will do for a long time, and ill look forward to the cd/dvd which is unlikely to come out on 2nd June because of b**chface and her money. But anyhow still quality metal and the best keyboard player in the world :).

Ever heard of Sentenced?
Ofcourse…
I think that by throwing Tarja out of the group they got rid of one of the reasons they were so good.
exactly, remembering what happened to Van Halen after David Lee Roths departing…

too bad that nigthwish tale is over…it could have been our number one ‘export’ product….

Just reread the posts on here, nice to see I’m not the only one who likes Jethro Tull. Ian Anderson is still as crazy as ever. Who else would call a piece of music a fluet because it was originally written for two flutes?
I have to add Black Sabbath and Nightwish to my list. My youngest refers to Nightwish as classical music with fangs and he’s right.

how can you put “In Flames” as a favourite, saw them last year supporting Motorhead, they were awfull. Megadeath were not Vgood last year either, thinks Mr Mustain has a bit of an ego problem. (inside info…. in it for the money only now these days)
Haven’t seen In Flames live before, but I saw Megadeth last summer on Gigantour and they were outstanding. There’s a picture on here somewhere of me with the band before the show.
