Okay, we’ve currently got a thread on favourite cheese, so what’s your favourite chcoclate?
I enjoy Snickers (the chocolate bar and the ice cream version), Milky Way, Flake, Galaxy, Cadbury’s Creme Egg, Lila Pause (don’t see that much now, but I got one in Holland a couple of years ago).

Mongu;
It´s not a critic but a matter of personal tastes. Don´t worry other european chocolates are as bad as Cadbury. And I am using the word “bad” as a personal oppinion of a product which is a fake and a adulteration of the real chocalate handicrafts. And also a cheat to consumers. And I suppose It´s not a question of nationalities bashing. Italian do the same, in Spain some brads, most of the german brands too.

Cadbury’s Rules!
You’re not comparing like with like!
We all know that, technically, foreign choccies are often more chocolatey than Cadbury’s. But, to be honest, I just love Dairy Milk!
Let me be the first to criticise European beer if you’re gonna start down that road!

Ah! The Fair Trade chocolate/hazelnut spread (Nutella-ish) which you can buy at the Dutch ‘Wereldwinkels’ (which are volounteer-ran Free Trade shops) is by far the best you can buy. Absolutely delicious.

Even the milkiest Cadbury “chocolate” tastes as though it’s filled with about half a tonne of vegetable oil or somehting – its disgusting. I can’t beleive an entire nation are duped into thinking that Cadbury’s is what real chocolate tastes like – its frightening. The very fact that Cadbury were taken to court by other European chocolate manufacturers because their chocolate doesn’t contain any cocoa butter should be indicative of its quality. Horrible horrible stuff. Horrible!…. ah, nothing like a bit of ranting…
Now, nice chocolate is anything you can buy on the continent or which is imported – Lindt of Milka or anything – all better than Cadbury’s.
Also, if anyone has ever been to Yugoslavia and tried those little chocolate covered banana things “Krem Banane” they’ll know why I now have a massive craving for one.
100% per cent agree. I didn´t wanted to offend one of the British national pride. 😀
It´s other issue but adding hydrogenated fat means exploting the Third World….beacuse means purchasing less cocoa. If we want to add fat……cocoa fat only. Problem..it´s expensive. Oxfram offers excelent and Fair Trade chocolate.

I have to say sneakers. It goes good with Coke. 😀
Special occasions, See’s Chocolate, Godiva Chocolate, or Ethel M Chocolate. 🙂
BTW, you should always carry a sneakers bar in your plane in case you are stranded. 😉

Of course real chocolate, with no less that 60% cocoa, cocoa butter and real natural ingredients. Good choice luxury Belgian and French one. Most countries produce rubbish……stuffs with contain hundreds of tons of butter (they call it milk chocolate) or even something with much more cholesteral like the soya or palm fat. Good chocolate doesn´t contain a single gram of cholesteral.

Cote d’Or Sensations 86%. Even better than all those still-good-but-where’s-the-cocoa 70% bars. Which includes the (again Cote d’ Or) Noir de Noir-series.
As with booze, it’s the percentage that counts. I want chocolate. Cocoa butter. Not peanut or sunflower-oil, but cocoa.
If i want some flavour added to the chocolate, please let it be orange. Orange with milk chocolate is great from Droste, while again Cote d’ Or has the best black chocolate with orange: Sensations Orange.
