Your Feedback Wanted Please

Hello to all, I hope you don’t mind me posting this here ?? I just need your feedback with something 🙂 Ok I’m not a P.C buff  I have for the last year been trying to put a story on my website with not much luck until now, the problems I had it’s over a hour long. Right to cut a long story short I’ve sorted it now & just want to know from people how long it takes to load & any other problems. http://www.152hyderabad.co.uk/html/ray_s_story___audio_.html

Many thanks for your help.

Cheers
Rob….

No problem loading or playing the Ray’s story sound page on an 8MB ADSL broadband connection, Rob. The Links (banner) page loaded slower than that.

The only puzzle I had was that on that page he’s RJ Johnson but RH Johnson on his text page.

Minor point: for some reason you’ve chosen to put them as separate pages, the text one under the Your Memories heading, the other under Info. Would a single page be better? Or at least under the same heading?

Your 152 Squadron site is a good one, Rob, rich with content. Too good to lose if ever you have to cease your careful toiling, it’s surely another candidate for archival preservation. You might want to nominate it, through the UK Web Archiving Consortium http://www.webarchive.org.uk/.

Hi Don
Thanks for your reply, The top one was my mistake 😡 but I’ve changed it now. The reason for the separate pages is to keep all ex-members Memories together, also when I first published the site Ray’s Story was not on there. I hope this clears that one up for you. I might look into the web Archiving Consortium, but as long as I’m around I will keep it going.

Many Thanks
Rob….

I believe there may an issue with which browser is used.
When I try to play the track01 with Firefox I do not get the player control bar displayed beneath the track number.
It all works OK when used with Internet explorer V7.

To load the main site – a few seconds.
Tried to get the Sgt. Johnston story to play but not sure if I was doing it right

It took 10 seconds to travel from Ipswich to Norwich ??? Yes all looks very pro, all internal links load quickly, even the gallery’s, which considering the large content, loaded very speedily. Can’t comment on the content, not my interest, but I am sure others will applaud you for this, thank you. Keith.
