I’m sure this gets done every year, but…
I’ve taken a rare foray into the photographery thread because I’m curious. I know there are many, many accomplished camera-wielders on the forum who kindly share their work with us all year, as well as amateurs such as me. So I got to wondering, if you had to pick just one of your own photos from this airshow season, what would it be and why? I don’t particularly mean from the point of view of technical perfection (although if you’re particularly proud of it that’s fair enough), rather shots that mean something to you/ make you laugh. Well you know what I mean…
Anyway, here’s mine, you might have known it’d be Victor related!
I took this from the Nav. plotter’s seat during a fast taxy run in our Victor, XL231, back in August, an experience I’ll never forget.

So, over to you lot…

With either a Nikon or a Canon I wouldn’t be surprised if they survived such treatment intact or at least in a repairable state.

Fair enough. Always best to stick with what you know. Both good equipment to use anyway, I was just being cheeky (as usual).
Mike. Nikon vrs Canon, when Nikon first brought out their first auto focus, it was C***. I was at the Grand Canyon, and doing all the touristy things, and the camera “Hunted more than a starving Abbo”, At the Grand Canyon I was absolutely fed up with the damned thing, and somewhere, my wife has a photo of the Nikon flying through the air, into the Grand Canyon, so, if you ever happen to go to the South Rim… I now have a nice DSLR Canon system, but allways carry a Panasonic TZ 10 with it,s Leica lense, and GPS, I find it is, and it is only my opinon, the best small compact on the market. It will be interesting to see what the new TZ 20 is like when it comes on the market next month.

Canon vs. Nikon :diablo:
I have no experience with Nikon. So I stick with Canon to be honest Mike.

Nope stayed away from the dark side. Canon 550D . Not had chance to use it yet. 🙂
Some people have no taste. What’s wrong with the Nikon 5000D?

Hi folks, here is one that I liked of Matt Denning landing the Boomerang after his display at the January 2010 airshow at Temora.
That’s a real nice shot. Was that when you were complaining about the walk. seems well justified now right 🙂
