YouTube Mosquitoes & Spitfires

I found this superb quality video on YouTube:

(Why oh why can’t we embed them properly?)

Anyway, some of the comments on it seem to suggest there are still Mosquitoes flying. I don’t think that’s so, but I could be wrong. What is the true position?

Also, is this video for real – from an old movie, maybe – or computer generated images (CGI)?

ARE YOU READING THIS PETER JACKSON?

I think that is the best WW2 RAF CGI going!

As I said over on WIX, sign him up for the CGI on the new Dam Busters film! 😎

Cheers

CGI

We have visited this before – once, maybe twice (because it’s very good!)

Done by a chap going under the monicker ‘Tochy’, and it was called ‘Merlins’.

There are no airworthy Mosquitos anywhere in the world.

The good news is that a lot of dedicated people, globally (in Britain, the USA, Canada, Australia and most importantly New Zealand) are working hard both to preserve and display historic Mosquitoes statically in appropriate museums, but also some ‘new-wood’ ones to airworthy.

Patience…

Sadly, you are correct.
