Yugoslavian Lysanders ???

Hello, men !

Some time ago, the worldairforces.com site reported about the fact, that about 12 examples of Westland Lysander planes were used by Yugoslavian Air Force in 1941.
I have not believed in this fact.

But, maybe, anybody have more infos, and even any images of those Yugoslavian Lysanders ?

Wait for answers.

Regards,
Flyer.

OK, mr JDK !

Thank You for Your answer !

I thought as much.
If Yugoslavian Lysanders existed, the aviation historians have not left this fact without their attention (all the more so, if those Lysanders in 12 examples existed).

So, “those Yugoslavian Lysanders” is wrong fact.

I don’t think that’s correct.

Yugoslavia ordered two Lysanders, but they were not delivered. RAF Special Duties Lysanders were active in the Med, including Yugoslavia, but they were and remained RAF owned and operated.

Fropm my book:
“In Italy 148 Squadron had one Lysander in 1944 which was later joined by five more, as there was a huge amount of irregular warfare in Italy, Greece and Yugoslavia to support. Operations varied; on one occasion a seriously injured American officer was flown out after Yugoslav partisans had prepared an airstrip behind enemy lines.”

Obviously I’ve not seen any photos, so, so far, only negative information.
