I always rated the Munsters above the Addams family…can’t put my finger on it.

Surprised that Al Lewis, Grandpa, died only at the start of last year. I knew he had passed away, just thought it was much longer ago. He looked 95 way back then! 🙂

You know, I love the Munsters as well as The Phil silvers Show, Car 54 Where are You?, The Addams Family and The Beverly Hillbillies. Something about those mid 50’s – early 60’s US comedy shows, even though before my trime.

or the surreal anthesis of the Beverly Hillbillies (about a rich lawyer who moves to the country) Green Acres…or the talking Palamino Mr Ed.
(for more surreal viewing there’s an episode where a young Clint Eastwood..then starring in the western “Rawhide”…rides Mr. Ed.)

BTW: The original Munster’s Coach car is in the U.K. and on display at friend’s Peter Nelson’s excellent Cars of the Stars Museum in Keswick, Cumbria

She’ll long be remembered for her role as Moses’s wife in “The Ten Commandments”

Wow, looking through her IMDB entry, I had no idea she’d done so much more than just The Munsters!

RIP.
