Zeppelin flies again — Over Historic Route of 1929

The “new” Zeppelin NT is scheduled to leave Sunday, June 13th from Germany to Japan, to follow the historic route that the LZ 129 Graf Zeppelin made in 1929.

Now instead of 20,000 people gathering to watch the airships, modern airships are seen over groups of 100,000 people to watch them. 🙂

I am always interested in these giant beasts! WOuld love to fly in one. 🙂

I find it facinating that when the giant dirigibles flew over America in the 1930’s, that crowds of 10-20 thousand people and more gathered in open areas to just watch the giant craft fly by.
Much, much larger than the modern Goodyear style blimps seen hovering over sporting events . . .
