Some sources in the internet tell how eleven ex Israeli Air Force AB-205A Helos have found their way to the Rhodesian (Then Zimbabwean) Air Force.
In a brief, The RhAF ordered about 13 new AB-205 Helos from a dealer in Kuweit.They were shipped via Lebanon where the militias swapped them with 11 worn out ex IAF AB-205A. These arrived Rhodesia in Aug 1978 and after extensive repairs were operated by No.7 and 8 Sqns.
If the facts are truth, It is a fantastic story.
