While everyones been tied up with China, the honourable Mr Mugabes antics haven’t been mentioned.
There’s no point going into details as the situation changes every hour, I gather that the ballot officers have now been arrested and accused of ‘losing’ 5000 of this vile despots votes.
Mind you, I bet that his political rival will behave the same way if he ever gets into power, not likely, I can see him being thrown into jail and tortured within the next few days.
Like him or not, Smithy knew that this would happen, African politics are so tied up in tribalism, it would seem that they cannot work it out amongst themselves, and probably never will do, perhaps colonialism was the only way to make this great continent fullfill itself, terrible thing to say, but Sierra Leone has gone quiet since we moved in and kicked ass, something that the African peacekeepers, who should be able to deal with matters, seem unable to do.
Perhaps when Zanu-PF held their conference the other day, in their expensive headquarters tower block, a well aimed cruise missile from HMS Superb would have put the voting beyond doubt.

Also, don’t forget that at least 40% of Zimbabweans still voted for Mugabe…… even as they starve.
But everybody please remember that of those who vote for Ebagum at least a fair proportion of them will be doing so out of fear!! I know how it works out there! the pressure from ebagums party can be enormous and there is no legal protection for ordinary Africans !! The judiciary will do as they are directed to by the ruling party.

I wonder where all those noisy people are that protested against Smith and Rhodesia? I hope they are enjoying their quiet respectable middle age. They should hang their heads in shame. People are dying…
Africa has a problem with the tribal concept of the strong chief. Democracy is a foreign concept here, and the democratic veneer is awfully thin. Kenya is just another example from the last few months.
But tell that to the chattering class in the coffee shops or over their suburban dinner parties…
So, it’s now April the 14th, and still no result announced. Note that the recounts are predominantely in areas where the opposition won….
Also, don’t forget that at least 40% of Zimbabweans still voted for Mugabe…… even as they starve.

As for the ‘Iraqians’, I thought that Allah cared for them, after all, God works in wondrous ways that us mere mortals don’t understand.
Oh dear…they should choose garden-gnomes instead of that old god thingie….more, how you say, present?
Have Finland send in a peace keeping force and lots of foreign aid.
Unfortuanetly no:( Our rigth-wing governement currently has so big war-heat going on that nothing that does NOT include change of seeing big boys wiht big guns in form of NATO and other US_adventures does not concern them…
But I didn’t vote for them, so…

Rhodesia
Using the correct name could be at least a start. Maybe if Henry Kissinger and his friends put the same effort into getting Mugabe out as they did getting Ian Smith out it would be a start.

Western interventioism would indeed come in effect if there were something which west could exploid…but there isen’t. And even if there is, west would just put some local chap in the throne and be happy as long as oil floods into the western markets…and what about the Zimbave people?? Who cares…Who cares for the Iraqians?

Well, before der Fuhrer Mugabe ( is that moustache just a coincidence), there used to be lots of maize and cattle for the West to exploit, I can’t believe that we haven’t sent in the heavy boys to protect it on behalf of Tesco’s and Sainsbury’s

Rule Brittania..:dev2: :dev2:
Its so bloody wrong that the nazis lost the WWII, as then we would have our own colonny as well:mad: 😡
I would not say that zimbabwe’s troubles are all tribal,Ebagum is seriously nuts and the ordinary folk from his own people are suffering!! He really has screwed what could have been the most prosperous country in africa.
Inflation etc does not of course affect those with swiss bank accounts etc.
I feel for the zimbabwe people ,most of them are really friendly.
They probably cannot understand why nobody helps them.As Steve Earle might say…. NO O.I.L.
