One proposal I’ve heard of was to move the BA Hanger to the other side of the road that runs alongside Taxiway A.

Is that the 06 Threshold End – the one that’s going to have the holding pan area?

    Silver Snapper,

did Channel Express or one of the other Cargo operators not operate a Tu204 out of EDI for a while?

Only place to park it at GLA would have been side on on stand 6.

Looking at the pics, it seems that EDI has dealt with this type of aircraft before – they have a tow bar for it.

Highland Airways tried this last year out of GLA – competing with BA/Loganair to SYY.
The lasted approx 6 months on the route before deciding to withdraw because they could not compete with BA/Loganair.

As for their proposed PIK – Belfast route, along with Easyjet and Flybe out of GLA, they would also need to compete with the Seacat ferry out of Troon.

Ryanair have also been wanting to open PIK-SYY & SYY-STN routes for a while now, but the Highlands and Islands Airports want them to pay the going rate.

Probably going to ACE – most charters go there on a Thursday.
Off of Runway 05, Jets climb on the GOW054 Radial to 4.9DME ( this point has a weird name), before turning left towards ELBAN. Passing the TRN013 Radial, they turn back south torwards New Galloway or Turnberry. Occassionally Inbound traffic/EDI outbounds permitting aircraft will get a right turn at 4.9DME.
If you want you can get the charts at http://www.ais.org.uk – you will need to register but registration is free.

    Care to elaborate ?

Not in any great detail. The problems are not 100% associated with the tow bar.
