Routeing the other way it ops via HNL as a Tech Stop for fuel. Given less than favoureable winds/weather conditions a Tech Stop on the SYD-YVR leg is not out of the question on the A340-300.

ATA do a lot of US military troop charters. Wonder what sort of impact this announcement will have – especially if the 75’s go.
Anyone know if they’ve still got the old Tristars kicking around.

That’s taking the mick. Launch Aid for a derivative.

If the A350 comes to pass, I would expect the European Launch customer to be Lufthansa.
I would also expect BA to place a combined 773/7E7 order some time in the next 4 to 5 years as a 744/767 replacement.

The West Air Europe ATP does the Evening FEDEX freight run from GLA-MAN-CDG & back again in the early hours of the morning.
The afternoon FEDEX freight run operating GLA-MAN-STN was operated by an Air Contractors ATR42, but is currently being operated by an F27 following their takeover of BAC Express.

How can they sign an MoU with Airbus for an aircraft that Airbus has said they “may” begin to offer to airlines starting later this year – Also there would be a big fan fare of publicity on the Airbus website to signal the launch and launch customer of the A350.
Look at how long a process Boeing went thru before offering the 7E7 to airlines.

Air Europa A330’s – bit strange an operator who has 4 763’s and is an all Boeing operator to lease 2 A330’s for additional long haul – would make more sense to add more 763’s.
Flybe are leasing 2 733’s for next summer. It’s expected these will come from Astraeus.
They are still evaluating 73NG or A319 as a 146 replacement.

That 737-200 was that not used to shuttle crew/staff out to the Air Base where the F117 was based near LAS?
