Now our friends in Germany can really see the mess that TUI have created. 1st they got rid of the Britannia livery, then the name. Now they are doing the same in their own back yard. Destroying brand recognition and 2 once proud airlines.

That might be the SKY News Heli – chances are it’s to do with the election.

Z4 are due to take delivery of a 4th aircraft – again ex KLM, either for Winter 05 or more likely Summer 06.

The 3rd aircraft that they are just about to take delivery of from KLM is already being used for expansion of services to MAN, BFS, CWL and CDG.

Any expansion by Z4 in Scotland would be in addition to their GLA services.

Emirates cannot get aircraft delivered quickly enough from both Airbus and Boeing.
Their expansion plans are being slowed by this. Emirates are the only ones who know what their future plans are for Scotland – although these will include the option of double daily from GLA and a daily flight from EDI.
Emirates would take pax from BA, KLM, LH and AF at EDI – it is more likely to have an impact on the figures of pax taking connecting flights on a daily basis than on the GLA service.

This would probably be with a view to a S06 start.

    Some points to consider:

    1. How will the regulatory authorities view a Greek Airline ( Air Scotland are the trading name of Greece Airways ) starting what are classed as scheduled flights from a UK city to the USA, Canada and Cuba?
It may not be allowed within the scope of current bilateral agreements –
Air Atlanta had to set up a UK arm ( Air Atlanta Europe ) with a UK AOC to allow them to operate the Travel City Direct flights to Sanford.

    2. By getting a 3 engined Tristar, Greece Airways are avoiding the expense of having to get themselves ETOPS approval and certifications for flying across the Atlantic.

I like it, and think with a few tweaks would look good as a permanent livery.

The Tweaks would be removing the 21st Birthday Logo and expanding the Virgin Atlantic Text so that it started just after the L1 Door.
