Ive seen the support frame (aluminium) for a guided missile and they are pretty small, i am sure they use Laser ring giro’s
The one i saw was smaller then the diameter of a CD. Square, with corners cut off, and a recess on the side to place the circuit board, the outside frame is supported by spokes that intersect the circumfrence of the frame. CNC’d using a solid aluminium block with a pretty good surface finish.

It could also mean that you would have to navigate using the

centrals instead of satellite navigation, which would require very accurate for the gyros and accelerometers, which unfortunately means added weight.
How big do you think an Accelerometer is? or even a Gyro? you seriously believe this would add so much extra weight as to be detrimental to the performance of the aircraft?
If your worried just think that the plasma stealth also makes the aircraft a bit more aerodynamic depending how the plasma is blead around the aircraft.
The Su-34 is equipped with an electro-optical fire control system supplied by the Urals Optical and Mechanical Plant (YOM3) and a Geofizika FLIR (forward-looking infrared) pod. Leninetz of St Petersburg supplies the passive phased array radar system and TsNIRTI the electronic countermeasures suite.
Another point to note is that if this bomber was flying nap of the earth (highly doubtfull) It would most probably need to be more worried about its IR sign and would have the plasma turned off.
It has a built in target designation system and is noted to be able to drop the KAB-500’s laser guided bombs which means it does not need to be low flying.( i guess this would depend on the heavens)

WEAPONS
The Su-34 is armed with a 30mm GSh-301 gun and 180 rounds of ammunition. The gun has a maximum rate of fire of 1,500 rounds per minute and the muzzle velocity is 860m/sec. The gun is supplied by the Instrument Design Bureau in Tula.
The aircraft has ten hardpoints for weapon payloads and is able to carry a range of missiles including air-to-air, air-to-surface, anti-ship and anti-radiation missiles, guided and unguided bombs, and rockets. The aircraft is fitted with a target designator.
The R-73 (NATO codename AA-11 Archer) short-range air-to-air missile is supplied by the Vympel State Engineering design Bureau in Moscow. The R-73 is an all-aspect missile capable of engaging targets in tail-chase or head-on mode. The missile has cooled infrared homing. The R-73 attacks the target within target designation angles of +/- 45 degrees and with angular rates up to 60 degrees per second. The missile can intercept targets at altitudes between 0.02 and 20km, target g-load to 12g, and with target speeds to 2,500kph.
The RVV-AE long-range air-to-air missile, also known as the RR-77 or by the NATO designation AA-12, is manufactured by Vympel. The missile can intercept targets at speeds up to 3,600kph and altitudes from 0.02 to 25km. The minimum range in the aft hemisphere is 300m and the maximum vertical separation between the host aircraft and the target is 10km. The RR-77 has inertial guidance with mid-course radio updates and terminal active guidance. A new, longer-range (150km) version of the R-77, with solid fuel ram-jet propulsion, is being tested by Vympel.

Sorry mate dont take this the wrong way but unless your working in the ISI or your helped modify the SHAHAB-3 (remember Iran said it wont make a 4th it will improve the systems on the 3rd) how can you even compare them with the North Korean missiles that you have?
Popeeye would be the best choice. and I think that it would not be hard to modify a F-4 to fire POPEYE-II as to the whole thing about it being nuclear or not no one can say for sure even the Israelis “officially” have noted that the missile is conventional.

Iran threatens to riposte with missiles in event of Israeli strike

Iranian Defence Minister Ali Shamkhani warned Wednesday that the Islamic regime would use all means at its disposal including medium-range Shahab-3 missiles if Israel struck its nuclear facilities.
“We will use all strike weapons at our disposal and the Shahab-3 missile is one of those,” Shamkhani told reporters after a cabinet meeting when asked if Iran would retaliate with missiles if Israel made good its threats to take out Iranian nuclear sites.
Earlier this year, the air force of the hardline Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps took delivery of several domestically built Shahab-3 missiles, with a range of between 1,300 and 1,500 kilometres (between 800 and 1,000 miles), sufficient to reach Israel.
The Tel Aviv daily Haaretz Sunday quoted Israeli Defence Minister Shaul Mofaz as warning that the Jewish state was considering striking the nuclear facilities of Iran, now regarded as its archfoe, despite an agreement earlier this month to submit them to snap UN inspection.
If such attacks are launched, “the necessary steps will be taken so that Iranian citizens will not be harmed,” the daily quoted Mofaz as saying.
And AESA + Stealth arent the only things that make an AC Fifth gen!
There are other things to consider when it comes to Avionics. specially in a bomber like the ability to survive in a hostile EM environment.
Jam free equipment, etc etc etc. Details that they do not hand out on purpose.
Plasma generators dont need the AC to be stealthy.

Considering that Thales (most prob but not sure) has been aproached by the Russian in development of the PAK-FA (see previous thread on PAK-FA and Russian+ French MOU in the thread.). I do not think the EU will be left behind too far. Lets wait and see how the EFA and Rafale do against the F/A-22 in excercises first.
Europe might have moved onto UCAVS for the next generation also.. SAAB has just joined the UCAV team and well judging by the UK MOD’s .. RAH RAH RAH Technology blable they might be aiming towards UCAVS also.
