Thanks for the update Barry. I’m wondering if it possible to be able to go and veiw it? If it’s ok with you, could I see if I can arrange a viewing? ?
Thanks for the reply Barry. . Missed it the second time round! ! So next question is.. which collage campus is she at? ? Camborne or Truro? ?
Fantastic Barry. . Thanks for the update. At lest it’s staying local.. still hope of seeing it yet 😉 would you be able to pm with a date it’s due to arrive at the collage? I work localso could catch it on its arrival. It’s one of the last cornish wrecks and relics I need to photograph !!
Yes..busiest I’ve ever seen it!
Some more 😉

Then on to Departures day, but with the unfortunate emergency with the Seafury, the main runway was part closed leaving only 4000ft avaliable. So most of the departures went of on the cross runway. Meaning no photos 🙁
But the polish Mig was having non of it.. and decided he was going for it. Take of run for a fully fueled Mig 29 is 1385 ish ft. So he didn’t have much room for error!
What with rain and low cloud, and the fact he Was half way down the runway and that these were taken from the bog roof!! There not the best.So there only for the record!
Looks like everyone gathered with the guys at the crash site (poor old Seafury :'( ) for a better look.

Guess I should have been at the other end to catch him lifting of.. 🙄
Look forward to next year. When the polish said they would love to come back 😉
And once again.. thanks for looking 😉
Really amazed to hear this excellent news! Isn’t this the very same ex-Torbay machine?
although its got the same Reg as the ex Torbay machine, its not the same one. The real XG544 ended up at a Private location in cornwall(and i have a photo of it there back in the 90s) Not sure where it ended its days, but its ment to be somewere in wales??!
the above machine is in fact an ex German air force Mk52!
thanks for the replies and a message has been sent dave;)
was thinking of F3 as not many left,so would be nice to replica one of these..
just woundering if maybe a Meat box might be bit hard to replicate out of wood?
want to try and replicate much as i can, rather than using genuine parts. keep cost down, and like Roy’s whirlwind. keep it in the spirit of the home build!
Ahh.. i see! i did look on goggle earth to see if thay were still over the fare side like thay use to be, but when looking over to were i thought thay would be, all i could see was what looked like a building site, with earth muddied up.

that earth bank is now hiding the aircraft behind it:(??
so other than if you go into were all the caravans are stored, your not going to be able to see the airframes from the airfield side anymore??
looking at my photos again. the picture i got of WF784 think the other would have been just to the left of them in the photo, and before i cropped the image i might have been able to see if thay were there!
