The M2k can only carry MICA or Super 530D. Thats way too inferior to R-77/R-27 combo. Why would Venezuela attack brazil? Do they have territorial dispute? Personally I think Brazil has the right idea. They are not buying hundreds of fighters like european /asian countries. 2 squadrons of long ranged fighters will suffice backed up with M2k and F-5’s.

As to why Brazil needs fighters? Why do germany, Italy, Switzerland, Portugal or many european countries need an army or airforce at all?

Pit, what the weapons that came with the Su-30MK2V? I am guessing R-77, R-73 and Kh-31p/a were included. Any chance air launched klub and Kh-59 are being bought.
