Nevesbu had sold the design of falcon corvette to an indian shipyard. I am guessing it was to goa shipyard for the OPV.
The P-28 is not based on falcon as anyone can see. Is it me or does 8.5 m depth sould ridiculous for a piddly corvette.
I can’t find the newslink but:

If PAK-FA (russian) had waited for joint venture then the first proto-type would have flown in 2020. It was always known that PAK-FA will kave to be MKIzed. The avionics of Su-35 are soley meant for RuAF. If there is something IAF likes it will be bought else develop own your own or with Israel and thales. Exactly what has India invested? As long as India is not investing any money on PAK-FA, I don’t see how Russia is obligated to co-develop the aircraft. Isn’t it better to wait and see how the russian PAK_FA turns out. If PAK-FA turns out to be expensive and not really too advanced compared to F-35 IAF can opt for F-35. No commitments.
That design is not indigenous its the falcon corvette design bought from Nevesbu. I don’t see why IN needs OPV. The P-28 in the model is as good as any OPV.
Without any decent SSM’s I wouldn’t accept it into any navy. The least they could do is to attach a few Kh-35’s on to front. GRSE director quoted the price as Rs 700 cr or $ 175 million per ship. I don’t see why 8 SSM’s can’t be afforded.
I see, I will ask Maz at BR. The models you posted have some VLS at the rear just before the Hangar. Any idea what they contain?
Russia is offering some design for P-17a but not sure which one. I have no idea where you got that model from. It does not look like P-28 to me.
The gun looks wrong from the pic released by GRSE and the speed is also not correct.
From BR:
rmament is to include a license-built Oto Melara 76mm Super Rapid gun in a stealth mount and the usual assortment of weapons similar to what is found on the Talwar Class and Project 17 frigates including a Klub-N missile system, two Larsen & Tubro built derivatives of the RBU-6000 anti-submarine rocket launcher and Larsen & Tubro built torpedo launchers. Revati, the naval variant of the DRDO-made Central Acquisition Radar (CAR), which is capable of tracking 150 targets at ranges of 200 km, is a confirmed sensor aboard the vessel. Hangar and aviation facilities will also be standard features
With all the customization it can’t be less than 80-85 mil per piece. MKI itself is about 62 mil with support and spares.
Oh I know, but since the newer talwars are comming with brahmos, I assume navy would want the P-17’s also to have them. There will be enough klubs on the older talwars, kilos and P-28’s.
no Kashtan’s for P-17s most likely be 2 Ak-630 and 2 barak 16 cell launchers. However there are reports that weapon suite was changed which delayed it further, so they might have Vl-shtil rather than a arm launcher then again it could be because of brahmos.
I hope it is VLS shtil or barak-2(unlikely). Klub doesn’t make any sense, I hope they go for brahmos.

Seems so

THe raids seem to have been useless.Did the SLAF chase the aircrafts?
If the PAK-Fa is going to fly in 2009 it better noit wait for India or brazil. It can be suitably MKIzed later.
