I hope it is not scrapped. If the case reaches supreme court then definitely it won’t be scrapped in India, but they can always send it to china or Bangladesh where human rights or environmental concerns are zilch.

I don’t Think IN has any plans for it. The Vikrant was turned into a museum. Most likely scrap it. But it still has a good 7-8 years left in it.

Wouldn’t it make sense to go for something newer like Ef-2000 or Rafale.

Don’t you know no F-22 stands chance against the super duper J-10. Its super duper radar can detect F-22 at 10,000 miles.:diablo:

Russia won’t like the US having troops near its southern border and a new Cold War starts, with the Russians covertly supplying arms to Shiite insurgents. In the end, you will end up lighting a series of regional fuses.

As if China will keep quiet when all their fuel suppliers are under US control.

I wonder what the reason for this immense stupidity might be? Which of our neighbors is ever going to get a plane of F-35 or F-22’s caliber.

US Gen advises India to pick F-16 over F-18

BANGALORE: A US general has recommended the Indian air force choose Lockheed Martin’s F-16 over Boeing’s F-18, saying it was important for the two countries to fly a common aircraft. With the two US manufacturers competing for the lucrative Indian fighter plane contract, Major-General Eric J Rosborg said choosing the F-16 would enable India’s air force to build “an enduring relationship” with its US equivalent, which already flies the plane. “With a common aircraft comes a common understanding of how to operate, logistics, training,” he said in an interview at the Indian air show that ends Sunday in this southern high-technology hub. “The F-16 is our choice.”
