No problem …. I believe that there may be news from Cornwall of WL795 soon.
WL795 is a totally seperate issue from what we are dealing with here at the moment. That said, St Mawgan is it’s natural home and I for one would love to see it secure here.
The TR1 is unlikely to be June 88 as the runway was being resurfaced for 6 months of that year. The photo shows post “Bolthole” surface markings…..I could be wrong.
Something a bit different
TR1 doing touch and go, no year but Pagen01 will know.
If I remember correctly it would have been 1989….. Stu Bullock requested we slow down as we attempted to get from one end of the airfield to the other to catch this photo……
Hopefully arriving next Wednesday ZA148 (5Y ADA) last flight from Brize and will be for static only. Cant wait !
Have you tried over on the Airfield Information Exchange forum? …. there is def a thread for Boulmer on there as I have contributed to it myself, albeit from more recent times.
Blimey…..35 years to find the the light switch……better late than never
Nice photo. I’m presuming the end of the runway shown bottom left is the same as the one middle left in pagen01 (James’) photo?
Rob
..yes, I think
….or, the wooded area to the top of Pagen’s photo is to the left in mine, just below the ‘GoPro’ video camera rig suspended from the balloon….:)
Here’s a fairly recent shot from the south taken by me last May, we had just taken off in my nephews balloon from the edge of the airfield….

Nice photo’s dogman !!…..we must catch up, not seen you for a while 😀
Thanks for those. Is the 146 operational and whose is it?
…not sure who it belongs to but it’s not operational.
Pictures guys, pictures!
As requested……but wasn’t able to get the Seahawk as 404 fenced off at the moment due to “work in progress”

Taken with my mobile phone in early (ish) morning light whilst on airfield inspection.
In 404 hangar (Nimrod hangar). Access will be from the new Southern Access road completed recently as I understand it. This new road runs in to just behind the VASS building (as was) from the Newquay-St Columb Major road.
…but you can’t see the Seahawk in the Hangar…well at least not yet 😉
A two seater in RN colours arrived on Monday
