Which in turn would raise the price for remaining JSF partner nations, which in turn force the committed nations to cut their orders to cope with rising costs.

There’s a reason why Boeing dropped their claim that the F-15SE (still in development) has the same RCS of the F-35. I’ll let you work that one out.

Malaysia doesn’t need a fighter to counter Singaporean F-35s.. it just needs lots of artillery to take them out before they even takeoff. All of Singapore should be within range.

You’re claiming this on a ‘Should be’ basis? That’s quite a gamble, all nice if it works but you’re sh*t out of luck if that doesn’t work. Besides, I’d like to know how Malaysia knows where and when these F-35s will be taking off and what they’d do about it if they got airbourne.

After the troubles the RMAF have had with their Russian aircraft, I don’t think they’re keen on purchasing another Russian fighter, it won’t be ready anyway. If they want something with solid A/A capabilities their best choice would be Typhoon.

I’m usually suspicious of TR. But still, they were spot on about France bolloxing up their bid. Just saying.

Not to mention Saudi Arabia’s position in the GCC union too and they’re Typhoon order, plus they’re now a part of NETMA with significant input. I’m aware Saudi Arabia are contributing to selling Typhoon’s to the likes of Kuwait, helping BAE Systems with the bid so to speak.
