    Generally China seems not to like EO weapons, for some reasons.

    And yet they have bought the TV-guided Kh-59ME for the Su-30MKK..hmmmm I wonder.

    Well I think for Australian Army requirements the Tiger Armed Recon Helo (ARH) will suit just fine, and with a large % of composite structure it will be easier to marinize for any future naval deployment too. The factory that is assembling them here in Australia is just a couple of hours drive away too. Might have to pay them a visit. 🙂

    Great pics! Is that light blue the same RLM 76 Licht blau used during the war? Or has the modern day German AF adaopted a new colour code?

    Well Ja if we ever spent the 4.8% you quoted we would be spending around USD$25billion p.a. from 2002 GDP figures!! That kind of budget would surpass India’s official spending, and we could easily afford F/A-22s too. We can dream on……….. 😉

    Hey Flood I noticed that you have diabled your rep button, why?

    Also how can you start off with ten when Glen has only one and I have ten? Doesn’t make any sence to me, besides this is like the old rating system on the very old board a couple of years ago, I disapproved of that even though I had some 92 points by the time it ended, I’m going to disable mine because I don’t like this system, people take you for what you are not what others think of you! How do you think new people to the board are going to see someone who has a low score but very good comments in their posts? I really don’t believe it fair one anyone really, that’s just MHO

    We know that it will be jet powered, high flyer, with wingspan of 26 meters.
    Two prototypes are being built right now.

    Global Hawk span is 35.3m, so I guess this could be a mini-GH of sorts.

    Talking of books on Russian a/c……

    Would an in-depth, English-language book on the Sukhoi T4 ‘Sotka’, Mach-3 supersonic bomber sell well enough in the west to justify the cost of getting it translated ??

    Would the average punter even know what the T4 was, let alone buy an expensive book about it ??

    Any ideas anyone ???

    I don´t like Tigers….even our goverment loves that cat, Trigat is even worse, and BTW why only two hardpoints of the Tiger can afford 19 rockets launchers, or even Trigat missiles? the other two hardpoints are only for 7 rockets launchers or the couple of Mistral missiles….

    Why don’t you like the Tiger?

    To bring this up – i finally gave it a good read this week, and one error is particularly annoying. All drawings of H-5s (so the Chinese version of the IL-28) are incorrect on the tail cannon barbette.

    Arthur, is that simply due to a lack of research? Or dodgy sources for the info?
