Can we form an orderly queue at the FOD desk at 10:00 ? 😮
Current weather here is sunny with some lingering vapour trails …..

Taken at Ellington Field ~ Houston

This is the former Doug Arnold aircraft and is remembered by some of us older folk for that stunning paint scheme when it made appearances at shows like Great Warbirds at West Malling in the 1980’s.

In this view from Oshkosh 2005 ( hang on there’s TWO painted the same 😮 )
NL5427V is closest to camera and N314BG is sitting behind it.
In the 1st pic the Extra appears to be inverted ….. was this an air to air photo session ?
I tempted to think that it was the practice flypast for Friday ~ but that would be wrong of me is so many ways 🙂
I’ve just added some interesting historic images from Mary Alice’s past to the thread on WIX ~ with thanks to Tony Clarke for sharing them 🙂
Excellent work as usual Brian !
I think the distortion adds something to the last result 🙂
As you develop this technique I’m sure we can look forward to some very interesting views during the air show season this summer !
Fantastic that they managed to get all five in the same basic paint scheme 🙂
I assume the red, white and blue smoke system will be ready in time for their appearance at L*gends :diablo:
Thanks g6hyf. I saw a Spitfire depart Duxford as I was driving up the M11 at 2:30 ish and I thought it looked like MJ627 but I wasn’t sure !
I’ve just posted another update on the WIX thread 🙂
