As i’ve been saying lack of funding was more of a problem then anything else.

I’ll side with Sintra. Someone mentioned the merits of damage resilience as a big selling point of the Sukhoi…widely spaced engines etc…well if an iceberg can beat an Olympic class liner thats where I’ll be putting my money….fire all the R-37’s you like!!!

A ocean liner made by shoddy Irishmen ! I’m betting on Soviet steel on this one, Jonesy old boy.

R-37 was never designed for target maneuver 9 G , stop making up number

He’s not the one who’s making up numbers here. But he’s mistaken on that little part, It was designed for target maneuvering up to 8g.

    And thank god for that.

We might actually see a stratched Gorshkov sooner then any nuclear superdestroyer. Which you predicted I think TR.

Is there any word about the new corvette class that was supposed to have had displacement between 1000 and 2000 tons ? Or the planned rumoured new fast attack boat ?

Andy_UE mentioned the new corvette class to be LCS sounding by the description. If I recall right.

But it would be more impractical for countries like the USA, Russia, India etc. to rely on it for air superiority.

Griphen or alike would’t be impractical at all for defens of Russia at least for the western half of the country. Where it’s shorter range wouldn’t be that that of a significant problem.

Don’t believe Su-35 was ever part of india MRCA.

Longer legs and better situation awareness alone gives the Su-35 advantage.

why it reasonable for you to believe the cruise speed and wing loading number of T-50 but you can’t believe the huge RCS value of it while both are official information come from Russian then you again assume Sukhoi use different way to calculate the RCS of T-50

What ? When did the Russians say anything about PAKFA’s cruise speed or RCS ?

Which BTW that RCS figure comes from some supposed Indian General.

    Edit

Could you knock of with the smillies. They don’t contribute to your arguments except make you look more of a child.

As for MiG-1.44, well their design layout looks more comparable to China’s 1960s-era J-9VI-2 proposal

Which itself look like one of the proposed MiG-25 layouts.

I can take a stab(s) why kortik would not be mounted. Lack of palash on the other hand….

    I’d weep with you TR.

Those figures are from initial stage of work though, who knowns what platue they’ve reached now.

    The plaque says Admiral Grigorovich.

    Hoping for A-190 as well

A 100mm turret will be on it. Which though should be the question…

I’m more curious about what they are going to put on the Gorshkov class. Or at least for how long it will go without it’s naval gun if it’s true that the A-192M is nowhere near ready. And according to Andy it’s sounds like it’s in a worse shape then previosly was rumoured. http://www.militaryphotos.net/forums/showthread.php?197506-Russian-Armed-Forces-News-amp-Discussion-thread&p=6402227&viewfull=1#post6402227

I hope this is just a rumour that got more doomy and gloomy just on account of beeing spread all over the net.

Possibly. Which and by how much, in your opinion? Sufficiently to undermine the basic argument I put forward?

All of them, will not, would need to scan few sources(which i can’t right now anyway) and dig up others and put forth my resoning for some. To lazy to do all that.

And no, it doesn’t undermind your argument.

Snake, any news on the Grigorovich loudout?

What you wrote above is the “ideal” layout, but is a must IMO.

The latest word is that Grigorovich class will have a Shtil vls. But only 8 cell UKSK instead of 12 cell one.
