It looks from the inside not remotely ready at all TR1. This is just beyond frustrating at this point. I don’t understand why it takes so long to build a ship of that size. Yantar shipyards has for the most part already built this vessels before. They are pretty well staffed for the most part and the MoD been making payments on time at least since 2012.

    So what’s going on ?

Holy **** is this frustrating. ******* Zimbabwe has a better navy and shipbuilding capacity at this point.

So much for being easy to build and delivere on time. Grigorovich was already behind schedule and seeing as it doesn’t even have any of it’s armament or even is barely finished on the inside it will take another ******* 4 years no doubt. ******* Noah build the ark faster for **** sakes.

At least it looks like it’ll have 12 UKSK VLS.

Also why are they working on Ivan Gren again ? Scrap that piece of **** and build something that actually meets the future requirements.

    God ******* dammit.

No. The May 1992 constitution declared Crimea an independent republic.

In 1994 Crimea nullified the May 1992 constitution, and over the next year created a new constitution in which it joined with the rest of Ukraine, with Crimea as a semi-autonomous region within the nation of Ukraine.

    Not quite right.

And like I said everything was erroded by the west Ukrainians. Besided the point though. Two options one of them they still stay within Ukraine unlike what you are claiming.

Again, the citizens of Crimea are not being allowed to choose to remain part of Ukraine!

They are. stop ******* lying. The two choices are : either leaving Ukraine and join Russia, or Return to 1992 constitution – in other words stray with Ukraine but have self-regulation like it was agreed but erroded by west Ukrainians throughout the years.

By the way, I am not Anti-Russian. I would debate Kuznetsov is the most effective carrier design ever

I don’t think anyone said you were. As far as JSR. Ignore him ..like most of us do. Also, I would like to hear why you think Kuznetsov is the most effective carrier design ever.

Hmm yes it seems I did have things mixed up. I assume the current order for 92 units will take production through till around 2020?

Regarding a potential future ‘Su-34M’, I would think an uprated engine would be useful to power a new generation of jammers and electronic warfare gear, including AESA with electronic attack capability. A Super Growler platform, basically.

If I recall correctly 92 machines will be operational by 2016.

Laser gyros ? From whom ? Last I remember it was Frenchies that were interested in Russian laser gyros ? Okay that was long ago. but still … seriously ?

I’m hoping after the dust settles Putin and Co will start to diversify Russia economie and there will be a modernization program a cross Russia instead of ******* talking about it and on the double.

BTW, don’t remember which agency (either RIA or Lenta) Minstral deal go’s ahead.

Only region with a majority of ethnic Russians is Crimea. They’re outnumbered by Ukrainians in every oblast, though IIRC some cities in E. Ukraine have a Russian majority.

It’s not about “Russian” Ukrainians. Ukrainians themselfs are split. Some are pro-Russia others are either anti-Russian or majority however are simply neutral and just want to get on with their lives and have a decent goverment for a change. And the current goverment(illegaly) in “charge” isn’t exactly what they want either to them it’s basicly orange clowns period 2.0. I think Putin counted on them to go along with the pro-russian group. that hasn’t happend. At this point they are probably very much sick and tired of both sides. Though if the current goverment or the right sector and Co baboons do something stupid, they very well will.

Overall a ****** up situation. And my heart goes out to them.

    JSR stop posting, please.

BTW TR1 whats your take on this.

Where are they going to get the money for this? I don’t know for sure, but the Russian defense budget isn’t exactly exploding with funds.

National Defense budget for 2014 is 77 Billion. The state defence order budget is 61 Billion.(partially done with loans) Altogether 138 billion vs 90 Billion something last year.

I’m still suprised Tupolev got the contract. I though Tupolevs OKB’s staff was soley consistent of two custodian geriatrics.

The actual engine IGV is confirmed as PMC (no doubt CNT modified for stealth) and there’s some very interesting stuff to come regarding the ‘non-metal/stealth’ compressor.

When and where. The above those not confirm that at all.
