what about aircraft to car contact – with the car being the parked object?

same here – booked for a weekend in August. The A380 is worthy of praise despite what some people think.

I was there along with a few others from our group and thought it was a glorified car boot sale with not much aviation related stuff. Organisation was not great in that we found people had set up next to our stand leaving no room to park our vehicles and on the other side somebody had set up blocking the crash gate. Saw one trader just chuck his rubbish under his van and drive off leaving it to disperse in the breeze – not a good idea on an active airfield.

I would also image that those who protest about a new runway would certainly protest about a high speed rail line given how much more land a rail line takes up.

Unless high speed rail goes as fast as an aircraft then it really is not viable as a replacement for medium/long haul flights. Also does he not realise that far more people would be effected (and possibly protest) by a series of high speed rail lines and I seriously doubt just how ‘sustainable’ it would be.

If LHR wants to expand why not get the RAF to sell Northolt and develop that as a short haul or maybe move UK domestic flights there.

Considering the likes of Ryanair have been very much in the lead when it comes to cutting staff T&C’s throughout the industry I find O’leary’s comments somewhat ironic. Perhaps it is a ‘thank you’ to WW for the management of Aer Lingus during his time there.

Moggy, exactly my point people could travel to see my home but why would they? However with a net connection they can see it without leaving their own homes and for free. The cars shown on my pic are current for myself and neighbours.

    Moggy,

true I cannot stop people walking past etc but by removing the image it limits the number of people who can see the property / car etc.

Have used it and asked for images of my home / car to be removed – I do not want where I live to be avalable to the entire planet.

Really enjoyed EK A380 last year – impressive performance (landing was firm though)
AA MD11 across pacific with only 40 people on board so had a row of 5 seats to myself.

RAF VC10 on an air to air refuelling sortie including a couple of go-arounds at Brize.

Old stuff includes a Rearwin Cloudster, B17, B25, Ford Tri-motor- all memorable in their own way.
