yes – it looks ok but agree that the prop is a joke. Not sure how the Mercedes garage really feels about it though (rumoured to have helped paid for it)
Saw the Hondajet fly at EAA – very elegant looking aircraft, very quiet. Compared to some of the other small executive aircraft around it looks it could do well.
It is a disgrace that an air ambulence service has to be funded in this way. In europe and Scotland they are all govt funded yet the ones in England / Wales get no help at all. (apart from the paramedic from NHS and at least one organisation went to court to get that) Not every county in England / Wales has one either – Hampshire and 1 other (not sure which) do not and so have to rely on other counties if one is needed.
Good to see the hamster is on the mend though.

Agree with Melvyn – not an aviation friendly airfield at all. The new blue fence has caused at least seven aircraft to hit it (one with 30K+ of damage). Getting the DC3 over the fence was a struggle and this was before it was completed. I just hope that the PBY can pass through the gates when that needs to move. If it does not then no doubt airfield management will shrug shoulders and do nothing to help.
We tried this at Lasham to get the control tower preserved – unfortunately the airfield manager (since sacked I am glad to say) decided to demolish it before any protection was obtained.
Will be used from SOU to EDI / GLS from Jan 07
AA MD11 into San Jose – just after a thunderstorm so quite bumpy. Aircraft ‘slammed’ into wet runway, bounced and with a lot of braking / reverse thrust eventually stopped. (overhead bins had come open etc)
Tu134 to Moscow DME – again descending through thunderstorm so a bit of a rollercoaster, broke out of cloud, gear & flaps down at the same time, lot of power as we crossed airport fence (to slow the rate of plummet!) but a very smooth touchdown.
Landing after first solo will not be forgotten either
Best – any 757 on a short flight/light weight combination.
Most ‘Interesting’ – 45 seconds (or more) take off roll in Tu154 of Balkan from Gatwick – when passing the fire station still firmly welded to the ground I did wonder if we were going by road.
Could it have been Royal Jet G4 A6-RJA?
As a local authority we have targets to meet when it comes to recycling (both within our own offices and the community in general) and so consequently our office has 2 small bins – 1 for recycleable items and 1 for landfill. Each bin has a list of what can and cannot be placed in it and every month a person from our waste team visits and puts a red, yellow or green sticker on the bin to indicate how we have done (ie green = good, yellow = could do better, red = poor) so far we have had 1 red, 1 green and 2 yellow.
At home we have 2 bins also – green one for recycling, black for other. The black one is collected each week but the green every other. I do find that the green one tends to fill up mainly as a result of all the packaging that comes from buying anything these days.
Much of the waste produced locally is burnt in purpose built (environment friendly)plants which a) saves landfill areas b) generates electricity which is sold to national grid

It is also a good idea to apply the USM to a different layer as if certain areas appear to be oversharpened they can be removed by just rubbing them out.
Another point to consider is that yes, the public may recycle but when collected it often all ends up in the same landfill site anyway.
