Andy,
when I was there in August the bus tours only operated on Wednesday and Saturday. They offered 3 tours – i) airport + intersection ii) airport + intersection + stop at viewing area in new midfield terminal iii) transport to midfield terminal only
I was lucky in that there was some sort of festival on so all were free but would normally be a few Sfr.
Will have to try and photograph the Sabre + others tomorrow when I visit.
it always was and always will be utter rubbish

Have a friend of mine who deals in the Corgi models and he saw some of the 2006 releases at a roadshow – the catalina looked impressive as did the Swordfish.
21 / 24 very hard – interesting pictures it comes up with but the answer can be obvious
22/24 on easy – got one where ‘Airwolf’ was the answer 🙂

women have been after equality for ages and yet some still expect to be treated differently in certain situations. If the women in question is pregnant or elderly then yes I would offer my seat. Would also offer if the person (male/female) looked as if they needed it. However if neither of these conditions apply then I would probably not.
Also reverse the question – would a women give up her seat for a non elderly, healthy looking bloke?

not many polar bears in Hants as we got the Rearwin restoration talk, not the Albatross one (but am very hopeful)
Brings back memories – one of the first bridges of its type.
Great talk last night Melvyn – even my dad enjoyed it and they don’t call him Meldrew for nothing 🙂
Thanks steve – it was a bit of a marathon – will post some of the aircraft pics somewhen
There are 2 complete Trident’s there along with a fuselage which has the tail section broken off. The wings are also just laying there in the undergrowth.
is that the Kbely museum ? or am I thinking of somewhere else.
Daz,
no problem – what is really confusing is the different names the Chinese have for the same or similar aircraft. The names Harbin, Chengdu, Shengyang etc are all cities where aircraft factories are located rather than a specific aircraft types. Often they are Chinese built versions of the more familiar soviet types. Ie a Tu16 is a Xi’an H6 An12 is a Yunshuji Y8 and you will often get the ‘same’ type being made at more than one location.
