Top Gear is pretty much the only thing that is worth the license fee however this series has not been particularly memorable so far but the xmas challenge across south america should be good. To me the best bits are the interaction and banter beween the presenters, something lacking on 5th gear. Star in car is a little tired and does depend very much on the guest involved.
Thought the magazine was very good. What a great idea to apply the same style of presentation to some of the older classic aircraft – more of the same please.
The wife’s birthday is coming up and she is trying to drop hints about what she would like. “something in white that goes from zero to 200 in five seconds” was one of the hints so I got her a set of bathroom scales.

Sentosa island is worth a visit – exotic birds & plants – the cable car ride across the water is impressive. Maybe a harbour cruise as well.

Russ,
I have the nav box and would not swop it for sbs. When i got it over a year ago it was up and running within 10 mins of getting home – setting it was very easy. At the time the prices of both were similar and it was only the size of the navbox that swung it for me – it is considerably smaller than the original sbs box so makes it much more portable. The new sbs-e1 is about the same size but is more expensive. Both systems do pretty much the same thing and I have done a side by side comparison between them with a mate of mine who has the sbs. Both system have good and not so good points but the end result is the same. Suggest you check out both websites and make a decision that way.

Skymonster,
yep in cattle class – saw you whilst waiting to board and again as I passed through the posh bit but not easy to stop as it would have held up other pax. . Not a bad flight – hope you did not spill the G&T’s when it got a bit lumpy 🙂
Skymonster,
did you enjoy flying backwards on UA958 ?
Having been there to see the event itself it was very windy for most of the week. I do not see anyone mentioning the other ‘heavy metal’ landings that were as firm.
