Am off to Dusseldorf tomorrow and was hoping to see some of those – not so sure if they will be parked there or elsewhere.

Gran Tourino – starring Clint Eastwood. Excellent film, funny in places, ‘dark’ in others.

I went to an aviation talk last week and one of the incidents mentioned was of an RAF Victor tanker returning from exercises in the USA. The aircraft suffered a double engine failure and needed to land asap. Crew called a mayday to atc (they were at 41000 ft) and got no answer and it was not until another airline crew suggested they declare an emergency (rather than a mayday) that a response was given. The aircraft diverted to Wright Patterson and landed safely.

There is a similar situtation within the UK and europe with the use of a ‘pan’ call which is familar to the UK but not to europe

Am new to FSX and it is certainly worth it. There is a nice king air included along with a Mooney / Baron (both with glass cockpit versions as well) FSX is quite resource hungry though so a decent spec PC is a must otherwise frame rates will suffer.

Why buy new in the first place. There are pleanty of good quality 2nd hand cars out there which have already suffered the initial depreciation a new car does + it is a form of recycling.

2-3 inches this morning in Winchester.

I take objection to the comment that councils are bent – the one i work for is certainly not. There is only so much we can do with the money that central govt gives us and that has been cut by £40million in the last 5 years yet we still have to maintain services.
