Quite a few years ago, spirits such as gin and vodka were so cheap to servicemen in Germany that on occasion I put them into my car’s windsceen washer bottle during the winter as they were very effective……………:D

The A330 LHR – MNL is with a stop. The only non-stop flight from Northern Europe is by Air France although a couple of years ago Lufthansa were also non-stop.
    I will be flying 777 on this trip – 772 SIN-MNL,and 773 MNL-SIN.:)

Very topical for me, this Thread, as I took a re-stocking trip to France by car yesterday.
    😀
The fact there there are “no limits” for personal use/consumption is being strongly publicised by the Ferry Companies to the extent that even the boarding sticker for the car referred to it.
(Applies only to EU of course)

    Well, the decision is…………….Boeing.
Sorry to disappoint QatarA330, but the Stopover promotion Singapore Airlines are offering at the moment resulted in that choice for the next trip to MNL.
For those who might be interested in the price (Oct flight). LHR – MNL was £478 incl taxes, with a three night stopover in Singapore with the hotel costing £56 per person (total for the three nights). In addition, there are free transfers, a free tourist bus around Singapore, and admission to various attractions for free. Just seemed too good to miss:D
Only downside – new case of SARS reported in Singapore:( 🙁 🙁

Well I certainly have a great deal of respect for Travel Agents – I just booked a long haul with my local agent at a very good price.
I see that at the moment I could book DXB – LHR on 26 Apr and returning 10 May on Emirates for £512. So why not tell us what your price is and we’ll make the judgement in mid-Feb.:p

Yes, I did go figure. The departure date is a week before Easter.
Perhaps you are naive enough to believe that the prices wont go down when there are lots of empty seats.:p
