Took Tony out ‘live side’ at Duxford on several occasions over the years for photo calls or to tell his story to a news crew by a Spitfire. Nice chap. Usually drove down with Ken Wilkinson of 19 Squadron from memory
Also flew Spit VII’s with 131 Squadron later in the war I believe
RIP Tony
Chris
Here’s a few I took way back in ’91

Hi Sopwith
According to Africans In Britain by David Killingray he flew 30 Ops, was awarded the DFC in September ’44 and survived the war
Also he apparently studied law at Leeds University on link below

Farewell Eric, a true legend and gentleman to boot
Thanks for your generosity in sharing your aviation experiences – a true one-off
Chris
Actually just went on the museum facebook page and it seems Eric had a fall at home and took a few knocks to the face that require him to spend some time in hospital, but it says he is in good spirits

Get well soon Eric.
Chris
‘I thought he had to pull out of the Shoreham talk? ‘
I just saw the details on the Shoreham Museum website and am not aware he has had to pull out. Could well be the case though
Chris
Buy the book, then get yourself down to Shoreham Museum and ask him to sign it for you on 27 March

Hey Roobarb
Check out the link below for G-BJZZ/G-HUNN at Sandown in ’87 – looks like the Whitehall Theatre of War scheme

Hi Xavier
I seem to remember when talking with Heinz Radlauer of JG51 at Shoreham Museum many years ago he discussed being in combat with Spit XIV’s of 41 Squadron. Think it was on 1 May 1945. Might have been one of Geoff Nutkins prints we were discussing. Will have to have a Google for this now to check
Cheers
Chris
Hi Gerry
Thanks for the pic – will add that to the story
In conversation we found out we both drank in the Blacksmiths Arms in Cudham Lane at a similar age – just 40 odd years separating when we were there
Would have been nice to share an ale with him there
cheers
Chris
