There is no way a B-61 nuclear bunker buster weapon use in Iran would go well with the internatioal community.

To our topic, the MiG-29 may show its capabilities in Indian service some day.

Are the Mig-29s that India has going to get upgraded,or be replaced by a new potential fighter that India is buying in the future?

So every leadership which did risc a war against such superior forces committed a crime against the own soldiers/people. I hope those politicans and generals have spent some years in prison at least. When you climb against “Mike Tyson” in the boxing-ring, none will name you a hero, just an idiot. You have to ask yourself why you followed your leadership and their cheap words to enter such boxing-ring at all. Who are the idiots, who still claim in the net you had be successfull in that ring to a “honorfull” degree.

Well leadership that risc a war with a superior forces by invading foreign territory is more than dumb and is commiting crime against its own people. But if you are doing it on your own soil, withing the internationally recognized borders, then its an act of defence. And those pilots and other men that fought the superior enemy were not doing it because of their orders from the regime in ’99,but beacause they wanted to protect their families and their country. There lies the difference.

As a Multi-Role aircraft, Rafales D/N will be capable of conducting both Air-to-air and attack missions.

For this purpose, they will carry the AASM (Armement Air-sol modulaire which is the equivalent of the proposed Paveway IV, GPS and Laser-guided kit that fits on a low-cost, low-drag bomb. There is a booster mounted on the tail-fin of the kit providing the amunition with a range of 10 km a low level and 30 km at high altitude. this weapon will be used as SEAD.

Note the position of the Laser designation pod which doesn’t take the room of an AAMs as (sorry) would be the case with Eurofighter Typhoon.

The element of surprise is the decisive factor. When fighting an armoured enemy group,AH-64 crew knows from which direction is the threat coming and will try and stay out of reach of the enemy anti aircraft defences and in range to sucessfully attack enemy tanks. Thats why Hellfire was made to outrange any Soviet/Russian shoulder launched SAM at the time. However,if a group of millitants is directly below it or in direct vicinity, and they stay unnoticed untill launching their SAM or RPG,there is little the crew can do.

Are those 2,000-lb. or 1,000-lb. weapons?

    What a load!

Those look like a 1,000-lbs to me!

Lets see what they load them with in Berlin in 6 weeks at the airshow!

Ok… …and when did I sady anything that has anything to do with the things you’r taliking about?? This discussion is not about the abilities or how good or bad (mostly bad) the Serbians or anyone else are…this is about whether or not kills or hits were achieved…and the answrer is ofcourse…no.

You want to play the victim again?? Please go ahead…

    Then I suggest you don’t read them…

Oh you said quite a bit in your previous post.I know there were no additional downed aircraft but the thing is you are always stating the same: “unimpressive”, “ridicilous” …etc = Serbian .The answer to why the kills havent been achieved is simply as stated in my previous post : old technology fought new technology and what else was expected? And thats one of the reasons why Mig-29s have performed poorly (apart from Etiopia-Erithrea where similar/same tech fought the waro n both sides).

No, i do not want to play the victim, cause i see you Albanians are having the monopoly on that role.

Oh dont worry,i dont read them in depth,i just gaze over and laugh. If you cannot post objectively without involving your personal hostile feelings against everything Serbian ,then your posts and information are really not that credible.

Kapedani you are forgetting that NATO had total air supremacy over Serbia in ’99. Radar crews risked their lives by switching on their radars in order to acquire something on the screen, before they get a HARM or ALARM going their way. Now i dont know how long you need to keep your radar switched on in order to guide the missiles but i do not think that we had the luxury of time.

Also Serbian Air Defence missiles were made at the end of the 60s and in the 70s and i am not amazed that they didnt perform well in modern combat environment. ECM,Jamming and daily SEAD actions all conducted with modern equipment are more then a match for what Serbia had.Unfair fight. But hey you think its just us that are unable to perform.

The same case was with our Mig-29s.No one was expecting them to do wonders when they are taking off to face the odds of 10:1!

NATO had years to study all the old Soviet technology after the break up of the Soviet Union and develop sucessfull countermeasures, for both air defence systems and airplanes.

Why do you always have to put down everything that is Serbian, like you would have done much better and like you have a better equipment? Its getting boring to read your “everything Serbian” sucks replies.

Spain and France were never invaded by Islamic Ottoman Empire.I dont know where you are reading your history facts from. They got stopped in the Balkans in the 14th century in today Serbia at the border with Austria-Hungary.

    How about world peace?

Well to simply put it Erez, look at it this way.Israel has a very interesting toy,and as a very jelous neigbour Iran also wants to have that same type of a toy and play.Parents(USA per say) tell the children that these are toys that are for age 10+.Children can cry as long as they want and they can either not do anything about it or take the money from the piggy bank and buy the toy themselves. If the parents catch them doing it they get a slap on the face. Then the problems between the parents and the children start and last well into the teens. 😀

Now the real world.Isreal has nukes, which it hasnt publicaly acknowladges, even if everyone knows they have them.Iran sees that as a threat(i mean which neigbouring country wouldnt) and wants to create a detterant. It is called an arms race in a way and as seen from the cold war,it has kept peace for quite a long time. Now as you see USA and Russia are even reducing the number of warheads they had. If Isreal and Iran both have nukes, only then the diplomacy can start, cause Isreal would never allow Iran to express its views and would force its opinion only.

I do not agree with Iran’s presidents saying that he wants to vapourise Isreael.I think this was a move to proove his leadership to the Iranian people and to deter USA from attacking(by what logic i dont know).I sincerely hope he is not stupid to make such a mistake. But i also agree that every country has a right to defend itself, with conventional means of course,if attacked with the same.

World without nukes would be much nicer…its on the next generations to make it happen, however as i see how they are growing up i just get worried. 🙁

Hey those are Palestinians throwing stones at Merkava’s,not Iranians hehe.

Anyways one must know that Irans Air Defence network will first be “saturated” with a load of precise cruise missiles. This would take out most if not all of the fixed Air Defence installations/radars/missiles etc. Sucessfully engaging these aircraft would therefore be the job of mobile units that would have to switch on their radar long enough to acquire something on their screens and not get a HARM or ALARM trhough their truck window. The question is if these radars are able to acquire something stealthy at all?

The best way to shoot down any of these airplanes is to get a spy in the NATO/US headquarters and find out the flight paths ,as we did with F-117 in ’99. Everything else was pure luck.
